4 students missing, Police will be accountable, says Suvendu ahead of Nabanna Abhiyan

On Tuesday, BJP leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, made serious allegations against the Mamata Banerjee-led government, claiming that four students who were supposed to participate in the Nabanna Abhiyan rally have mysteriously disappeared. Adhikari expressed deep concern, holding the state government and "Mamata Police" accountable if anything were to happen to the missing students.

Adhikari took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the names of the missing students—Subhojit Ghosh, Pulokesh Pandit, Goutam Senapati, and Pritam Sarkar. He stated that these student activists were last seen arriving at Howrah Station, distributing food to volunteers when they suddenly went missing after midnight.

In his post, Adhikari wrote, "The following Student Activists who were distributing food to the volunteers, who were arriving at Howrah Station, suddenly went missing after midnight:- Subhojit Ghosh, Pulokesh Pandit, Goutam Senapati, Pritam Sarkar." He further added, "Neither they can be traced nor are they answering their phones. We apprehend that they may have been arrested/detained by the Mamata Police. If something happens to them Mamata Police will be held accountable."

In a related development, BJP leader and lawyer Koustav Bagchi filed a complaint with Golabari Police Station in Howrah, alleging that the student activists were kidnapped by miscreants associated with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party around 11:45 PM on Monday, near the Howrah Police Station.
